A Five-Minute Walk to KL’s Historic Hotel

Destination: Federal Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Federal Hotel is one of KL’s historic landmarks, built in 1957 to welcome international guests during Malaysia’s independence celebrations. As the city’s first international‑class hotel, it carries a legacy of heritage and hospitality.

Today, the Federal blends its historic charm with modern amenities, offering comfortable rooms and a central location right in Bukit Bintang. Its position along Jalan Bukit Bintang makes it a convenient base for travelers who want to experience both KL’s history and its vibrant shopping district.



Directions

  • Exit the MRT Bukit Bintang station through Entrance C (Pintu C).

  • Once outside, make a right U-turn, and walk straight ahead along the walkway.

  • At the end of the walkway, head right, then left along the sidewalk of Jalan Bukit Bintang.

  • Continue straight ahead.

  • You’ll arrive at the Federal Hotel on your left, in about five minutes.


Exit the station through Entrance C (Pintu C).

Once outside, make a right U-turn.

Head straight, at the end of the walkway, turn right and then left.

In about five minutes, you'll arrive at Federal Hotel on your left.
