Dawn breaks over Merdeka Square, the historic heart of Kuala Lumpur

If you’re arriving in Kuala Lumpur by LRT, one of the most rewarding short walks begins at Pasar Seni station and leads you straight to the historic heart of the city—Merdeka Square (Dataran Merdeka). In just five minutes, you’ll step from the bustle of modern transit into a space layered with history and architectural beauty.

Exit via Gate D

As you leave Pasar Seni station, take Gate D. The Klang River flows quietly on your left, a reminder of the city’s origins.
